Ruby, a mother from Delhi’s Trilokpuri area, faced a daily challenge—balancing her limited budget while providing healthy meals for her children, who often craved junk food. Their diet primarily consisted of processed snacks such as those easily available in stores and on streets. This started to leave them with low energy and frequent illnesses affecting them both physically, mentally, and placing a massive burden on their academic outputs.

Vanna Tamilian, an educator from Tamilnadu's Kallakurichi district, joined forces with Development Consortium (DC) to revamp the education landscape through our partnership with STiR Education.

Sunita Kumari, a teenager from Sursa block in Uttar Pradesh, was diagnosed with severe anaemia during a school health camp organized by DC's Sampushti project. With a haemoglobin level of just 4 mg/dL, Sunita urgently needed medical attention and nutritional guidance.

Puja Singh, a resident of Nawada district, Bihar, was once a homemaker with limited opportunities to contribute beyond her home. Today, thanks to her association with Love Matters, she is a Master Trainer who is transforming her community. Over the past two years, Pooja has emerged as a trusted educator on family planning, adolescence education, and digital literacy, empowering women and youth in marginalized communities to make informed decisions about their lives.

Sugandh Kumari, hailing from Bihar, embodies a heartwarming tale of determination and resilience. Raised by parents working as house help and daily wage contractors in Gurgaon, Sugandh's unwavering ambition led her to set her sights on a B.Tech career in technology. Despite their financial constraints, her parents steadfastly pursued educating their two daughters, instilling in them the value of hard work and perseverance.

In a small town in the NCR region, Saransh (name changed), a 24-year-old trans man, was forced into marriage by his family. As time passed, Saransh shared his true identity and feelings with his spouse, only to be met with violence and rejection. Determined to break free from his oppressive marriage, he returned to his natal home and initiated divorce proceedings with the support of his family. During this tumultuous time, Saransh found love and companionship in Mehak (name changed), a close friend he had grown close to over the previous few years.

Poornima Sathyanarayanan’s entrepreneurial journey is an inspiring story of turning challenges into opportunities. An engineer by training, Poornima co-founded an automation company early in her career but yearned to create something impactful in the everyday lives of people. This drive led her to establish Rhapso Fashion Tech, a platform revolutionizing tailoring services in Bengaluru by bringing high-quality, on-demand fashion solutions to customers’ doorsteps.

One teacher’s desire for change can transform an entire school in the blink of an eye. With a project like STiR, desire can turn into reality as it focuses primarily on transforming schools into vibrant learning hubs highlighting innovative teaching methodologies and strategies.
