Communication OfficerLocation: Delhi(Hybrid) Role Type: Full Time Experience Level: 2-4 years Job Description (JD): Content Creation & Storytelling • Develop high-quality written content for websites, blogs, reports, newsletters, and donor communication. • Craft engaging and impactful social media content (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook) that aligns with DC’s mission and goals. • Develop compelling storytelling pieces (case studies, impact stories, and testimonials) to highlight project successes and challenges. • Ensure all content is accurate, well-researched, and aligned with DC’s branding and messaging. • Write, edit, and proofread content for donor reports, press releases, proposals, and advocacy campaigns. Design & Branding • Design eye-catching visuals for social media, website, and marketing materials using Canva or any other software. • Develop branded templates for presentations, reports, proposals, and event promotions. • Work on infographics, illustrations, and creative assets that simplify complex information for diverse audiences. • Ensure consistency in visual branding, fonts, colors, and design elements across all communication materials. Social Media & Digital Engagement • Plan, execute, and manage social media calendars for different platforms. • Track, analyze, and optimize social media performance using engagement data. • Engage with audiences through interactive campaigns and creative posts. • Stay updated on social media trends and digital communication strategies to enhance engagement. Internal & External Communication • Work closely with program teams to capture project updates, photos, and impact stories for external communication. • Help build up and deepen relationships with existing and new partners through direct engagement or by supporting and coordinating engagement activity with relevant colleagues. • Support in preparing event communications (banners, presentations, handouts, and invites). • Assist with internal communications, ensuring program teams are well-informed about DC’s communication strategies. Donor & Stakeholder Engagement • Utilize and promote stories of success, change, and progress of projects through social media channels, driving engagement of donors and funders. • Develop strong working relationships with program teams to support the showcasing of their work via a variety of mediums, including the DC website, social media, and donor proposals. Required Experience/ Skill: Education & Experience • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field. • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in communications, content writing, social media management, and graphic design. • Prior experience in non-profits, social impact organizations, or development communication is preferred. • Strong portfolio demonstrating writing samples, social media content, and design work (such as reports, infographics, or marketing materials).
