From insight to impact
Where DC’s ideas come alive, through programs we design, lead/implement, and nurture directly. We build solutions hand in hand with communities, families, schools, teachers and children. Guided by their lived realities and local wisdom, every step is shaped by what people truly need. We build, we learn, we evolve. Our teams lead from the front: strengthening health systems, improving nutrition, bringing mental well-being into schools, creating safe spaces for conversations on love, relationships, consent and courage, mentoring young women into higher education, and making classrooms joyful and inclusive.
Programs like Sampushti, Abhyuday, Streeksha, TeenBook, Student Mental Well-Being , Love Matters India, and Sshakti embody this approach. Together, they ensure that health, education, gender equality, and empowerment are not abstract goals, but everyday realities for the communities we serve. Because Impact is not an outcome - it's a relationship.

At the DC, we approach health and nutrition as deeply interconnected with overall well-being, recognizing that lasting impact comes from addressing not just illness, but the conditions that shape everyday health. We operationalize this vision through Sampushti, our flagship Holistic Health, Hygiene, and Nutrition Program, which is transforming the lives of infants, children, and adolescents in rural India.
At DC, we believe that joyful, inclusive, and emotionally safe schools lay the foundation for lifelong learning. Our program Happy and Joyful Learning in Schools brings this belief to life through Abhyuday, a multi-state school transformation initiative focused on reimagining government and low-resource schools as spaces where children thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.

Education is a powerful tool for change, especially for young women navigating limited opportunities and entrenched gender barriers. As part of our Advancing Gender Equity in Education initiative, DC runs Streeksha, to empower rural young women to pursue higher education and confidently shape their academic and professional futures.

Guiding Adolescents to Happy, Healthy Adulthood is DC’s digital-first initiative to equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to navigate the teenage years with clarity and care. We deliver this vision through TeenBook -India’s first bilingual platform focused on life skills and comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) for adolescents aged 13–19. It aims to bring a mindset shift towards supporting our children with their emotional, social and behavioural health well-being and not just a single-minded focus on their academic or professional excellence.

India is home to 253 million adolescents (10-19) and nearly 50 percent of India’s population is under 25, an amazing aspect for any country's growth and future. However, there are key challenges to India’s adolescents developing their full potential as happy and healthy adults. Several of these challenges pertain to mental health and well-being.
Our Sexual and Reproductive Health health program focuses on Digital Education, recognizing that access to accurate, inclusive, and stigma-free information is essential -especially for young people. This initiative provides a trusted, youth-friendly online space that addresses topics such as contraception, relationships, consent, and pleasure in a safe and respectful manner. It is known as Love Matters India.

While our adolescent programs focus on prevention and early support, our Care and Support Services for People Living with HIV ensure that long-term, patient-centered care remains accessible and dignified. At DC, we are committed to building responsive, inclusive health systems that support treatment adherence, re-engagement, and social integration.
