Introduction
At Development Consortium, we believe that empowered youth are the foundation of a more inclusive, equitable, and resilient future. Our programmes help young people advance their lives by providing them the information and support they need to address challenges around quality education (SDG 4), social and economic inequalities (SDG 10), and health and well-being (SDG 3).

We work with adolescents and young adults across school and community settings—particularly in underserved areas—to build emotional resilience, leadership, self-awareness, and future-readiness. Through a unique blend of sports-based learning, digital engagement, life skills education, and psychosocial support, our initiatives guide young people in navigating adolescence and stepping into adulthood with clarity, confidence, and care.
Sports for Life Skills
Through our Sports for Life Skills initiative, we use football as a powerful tool to teach young people teamwork, leadership, goal setting, and emotional regulation. Based in Faridabad, Haryana, the program is designed for students from government schools and follows the EduFootball model—an innovative approach that blends structured sports sessions with life skills education.

By creating a safe, inclusive space to play, reflect, and grow, the program helps adolescents from marginalized backgrounds develop critical life competencies such as communication, discipline, and empathy. Football becomes more than just a game—it becomes a gateway to self-confidence, peer support, and community connection.

Happy, Healthy Adulthood
Happy, Healthy Adulthood is our digital-first initiative that prepares adolescents for life beyond the classroom—emotionally, socially, and intellectually. We deliver this vision through TeenBook, India’s first bilingual digital platform focused on life skills and comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) for teens aged 13–19.

TeenBook.in is more than a website—it’s a safe, relatable, and medically accurate space where teens can explore essential topics like puberty, mental health, relationships, consent, online safety, and decision-making. Backed by support from Amaze.org and AVPN, the platform enables adolescents to ask questions they may hesitate to raise elsewhere, giving them the tools to make informed, healthy choices.

At the heart of TeenBook is Ask Disha, an anonymous advice column where teens receive empathetic, science-based guidance on everyday challenges—from family dynamics and peer pressure to emotional and identity concerns. The platform also features a growing library of 500+ resources including articles, comics, videos, and animations—all designed to be teen-friendly and culturally sensitive.

Engagement extends beyond digital content. TeenBook hosts The TeenBook Podcast on Spotify, where young people and experts discuss growing-up themes in a peer-to-peer format. A TeenBook Advisory Board (TAB)—comprising adolescents from across India—helps shape the platform’s tone, topics, and relevance, ensuring it remains teen-led and teen-approved.

TeenBook’s approach aligns with India’s national adolescent health priorities under the Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram (RKSK) and supports schools, NGOs, and facilitators with toolkits and training modules to integrate life skills and CSE into their work.

Together, our youth empowerment programs are helping build a generation of confident, compassionate, and well-informed young people—ready to lead with purpose and empathy.
