Saadhna Foujdar is a prime example of wanting to achieve an education for good. The eldest of four siblings from Alwar, Rajasthan, Saadhna took on immense responsibility after her father’s passing. Determined to support her family, she enrolled in the Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife (ANM) program offered by the Rajasthan government. However, the financial strain of her education threatened to derail her aspirations.

This is where the Streeksha program made a difference. As a Streeksha Scholar, Saadhna received the financial support she needed to continue her studies. The Streeksha scholarship, aimed at empowering young women through education, enabled her to complete the ANM program without the constant worry of expenses.

Today, Saadhna works as a nurse in a pediatric ICU, achieving financial independence while supporting her family. Her role is not just a career milestone but a source of pride and stability for her loved ones. With the help of Streeksha not only was she allowed to help out jer family financially, but also provide a positive change to the people around her and return back to the community.
